Adaptation course in schools

The bachelor thesis deals with adaptation courses in schools and their influence on the formation of new classroom collectives. In the theoretical part, attention is paid mainly to the meaning of adaptation courses, the definition of their most frequent participants (adolescents) and the definition of experiential pedagogy, which is an inherent part of these courses. The research part presents the research objectives (pupils' expectations from the course and their reflections), the chosen research sample (sixth grade pupils of the Třešt'Primary School) and the research procedure used (quantitative research in the form of a questionnaire survey)
Adaptation school courses in terms of prevention of risk behavior

The theoretical part of the bachelor's thesis deals with terminology connected to adaptation school courses, description of relationships between people in groups and it introduces school adaptation courses in detail. It also mentions issue of risky behaviour and its prevention. The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to find out participants' views on the importance of adaptation courses and on setting goals before adaptation courses by using semi-structured interviews. Another important goal of the thesis is to find out how participants perceive connection of adaptation courses with elements of prevention of risky behaviour. Finally, the participants' experiences with different types of reflection are presented. A method of qualitative research was used in the thesis, where a total of 5 respondents from various primary schools and grammar schools participated and answered 12 questions. The results of the research mostly correspond with the professional literature, but the participants also present a view from a different perspective at some points.

The management of the adaptation course in high schools by the class teacher Palicová Petra 2022 ABSTRACT The diploma thesis deals with the issue of conducting adaptation courses at High schools. The main topic is the management of the courses by the class teachers themselves so that the course is beneficial for the collective, communication and the overall atmosphere of teaching. The adaptation course is seen here as one of the means by which school discipline can be aided and its appropriate form of management has a positive effect on teaching. In the practical part, the research is described, the aim of which was to analyse the process of designing and implementing an adaptation programme at High schools, with reference to the role of the class teacher. Quantitative research was chosen, the method of data collection was a questionnaire of own construction. Three hypotheses were formulated and chi-square was chosen to test them. The research population consisted of High school class teachers. The paper includes recommendations for the optimal approach of classroom teachers to the adaptation program at High scool.
Effect of the Adaptation Course and Form Teacher Lessons on the Climate in the Sixth Class in Lower Secondary School

This thesis examines change of classroom climate in lower secondary school. In the theoretical part, issues of classroom climate, experiential pedagogy, adaptation courses and form teacher lessons are described from the perspective of different authors. The thesis introduces basic approaches for diagnosing classroom climate. It also gives instructions for management of form teacher lessons. B-3 questionnaire determines the current classroom climate and subsequent effects of the adaptation course among the respondents. Form teacher lessons are reported in this thesis, whose effect is also measured by the B-3 questionnaire in a longer period of the adaptation course. The results of the questionnaire investigation point to the need for regular form teacher lessons, in which the formation of a friendly climate in the classroom is realized.
Adaptation event as a form of bullying prevention

The diploma thesis is based on the presentation of adaptation courses as a specific form of primary prevention of bullying in a school class. The thesis concerns with the adaptation courses methodology of Agentura Wenku s. r. o. These courses emphasize cranking of processes which are essential for healthy functioning of the school class. The positive climate which is created during the courses help to minimalize the appearance of risk behaviour such as bullying. The first part of the thesis introduces bullying in the school environment, forms of its prevention and the importance of positive social climate in a school class for functioning of prevention programmes such as adaptation course. The methodology created by Agentura Wenku s. r. o. is described in detail in the second part of the thesis. The thesis describes didactic process and specific games which are used by the agency in its programme including Zpětné vazby (feedback) - a reflexive method which differs the adaptations courses of Agentura Wenku s. r. o. programmes from other courses offered by competing agencies. The last part analyses the results of a brief survey of the attitude of teachers concerning the discussed topic. Proposal of instrumental solution of measuring group dynamics of school class after orientation program.

Richard Lukáš Proposal of instrumental solution of measuring group dynamics of school class after orientation program Bachelor's Thesis Abstract In this thesis we proposed instrument for measuring group dynamics of the class in first grade on high school, which passed an orientation program. The instrument is based on robust conceptualization of group dynamics. We compared the dimensions of group dynamics with the goals of the orientation programs and thus we received 10 main dimensions of our conceptual model (norms, roles, relations, communication, cooperation, conflict management, cohesion, social support, social atmosphere and leadership and decision-making), which were operationalized then. We proposed research design consisting of 2 versions of the questionnaire. The first is administered among the students of the class in simple version. The second is administered among teacher and instructors of the orientation program and is based on the research design of questionnaire Group Dynamics Q-Sort. Administrations take place before the orientation program, in the end of it and two months later in the school. We also proposed indexes measuring the structure of the class, interaction within it, mutual support and cohesion. We conducted expert interviews regarding the questionnaire and a pilot.
